Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH)
Your BAH will be used in one of two ways. You can either rent on base or you can live off base. If you live off base, you can either rent or buy. Click Here for current BAH rates.
On Base Housing ( Rent On-Base )
You can contact the housing office at 202-433-2028. Please keep in mind that there is a process involved in renting on Base housing to include wait times.
Off Base Single Family Rentals-You can choose to rent off base if you wish. Check our database for available single-family homes.

The Marine Corps Community Services Division Henderson Hall is part of the Marine and Family Programs Division under the Deputy Commandant for Manpower and Reserve Affairs. The mission of the Marine Corps Community Services Division is to provide support in areas such as construction, technology, and accounting as well as a number of other service programs such as Casualty Assistance. The primary goal is to take care of Marines and their families through a variety of programs that enhance the lives of military personnel and their families. Recreational and fitness facilities are provided as well as family readiness and educational programs. Marine Corps Community Services Division Henderson Hall is located in Arlington, Virginia in the Washington, D.C. area. There is no on-post housing available in the Washington D.C. area as most housing needs are met by the surrounding communities of Woodbridge, Virginia and Summerfield in Landover, Maryland as well as Bellevue in Washington D.C. Waiting lists do exist for government quarters and applicants need to check with the Housing Referral Office about available properties in the neighborhoods. The New Housing Welcome Center also offers information regarding applicable BAH rates which would cover most rent and/or some utilities. Check with your military sponsor for more guidance on houses for rent or sale.
For those seeking temporary lodging, there is a Navy Lodge in Bellevue Housing. Reservations can be made at the Lodge by calling 1-800-NAVY-INN up to 60 days in advance of arrival. There are 43 rooms that have double beds and a private bath as well as kitchenettes and cable television. Playgrounds and picnic areas are also nearby. There is a Navy Lodge at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda if temporary housing is unavailable near MCCS Henderson Hall. Reservations can be made by calling 301-654-1795 for more information. Most temporary lodging facilities allow for 10 to 30 day stays with permission of the commanding officer.
